After submitting your application for admission, you will need to undertake a medical examination by one of the doctors approved by the Canadian Government. A list of the approved panel doctors can be found by visiting: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1995&CountryName=India You will be provided with a receipt (IMM1017) for the medicals, which you will need to submit at the time of lodging your visa application. The medical report will automatically be sent to the visa office.
Funds required for Canada for SPP: One Semester Tuition fees or Two semesters' tuition Fee Payment as per the college's requirement (From education loan or from own pocket) + GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate or Fixed deposit in simple words) in the amount of $ 10,000 ((From education loan or from own pocket).
GIC is to be done at Kotak Mohindra Bank. This amount is to assure that the student has enough money for his/her living expenses in Canada. If the student gets Study visa, he/she gets the amount back after reaching in Canada, Dollar 2000 immediately after reaching in Canada and then Dollar 2000 every alternate month.

After getting a letter of acceptance from College/University. You have to deposit the tuition fees immediately by Wire Transfer/TT. Once the institutions have received and processed your tuition fee payment, they will issue you with receipt. This receipt will be needed to lodge your visa application.
